Takgalang Consulting is honored to be a pivotal player in the revitalization of the historic Transnet head office located at 96 Rissik Street. This landmark project is set to meet top-tier SAPOA office building Grade A standards and achieve at least a 4-star Green Building Council South Africa (GBCSA) rating.

 

The design deftly preserves the building's heritage while updating its infrastructure to include 100% standby power cover and N+1 redundancy for all critical services. The renovation celebrates the "Africanicity" theme of Transnet, ensuring a space that not only respects the past but also embraces modernity.

 

With the capacity to house over a thousand employees, Takgalang Consulting is overseeing a transformative process that includes parking redesign, a new main entrance on the North façade, and the creation of a contemporary, open working environment. This initiative represents a significant commitment to both the heritage and future of Johannesburg's corporate architecture.
